This is another project for the About.com art forum I belong to. The challenge of this painting project was to
create a painting that conveyed a powerful sense of mood in a person(s). It may be a portrait or self-portrait, head and shoulders or full figure, but doesn't necessarily need to show facial features. There may be one person or several.
The figure(s) must dominate the composition and the art style should lean more towards painterly and realistic than abstract. The size and medium were up to us. I painted these figures in a scene showing the emotion of pain and comforting.
