A good friend who is missed very much
Brier Island
This is a painting of Brier Island, Nova Scotia. Brier Island is a 90-minute drive
from Digby, including two short ferry hops. My husband was there on a trip
this summer and took some wonderful photos for me to paint
IN BEFORE THE STORM
This painting began as depicting an old fisherman getting in off the
water before the storm hits. After finishing the painting I realized that
the old gentleman in the boat remined me of my wonderful grandfather Hatcher.
I miss you Dad.
THE VIEW
At the Beach
These are the first watercolor/acrylic paintings I ever did. Quite a few years ago now. They were done on watercolor paper. I like the way the sky turned out in this bottom one. The other first is this little shorebird same thing watercolor/acrylic on paper. Then I did this little boat on the river scene I called Sand Cherry Bush I'm not sure which one came first very amateurish I know but I'm glad I kept them. I plan to rework the little Sand Cherry painting
Our little granddaughter had a birthday yesterday. She had a little party and we all went. Just family that party but her "friends" party is on the weekend. Gosh kids get a lot of things these days. Lots of Webkinz of course. I think she has 20 now. Some of her friends have a lot more than that. They are fun, I've played them myself. She says the Kangaroo is her favourite.
